HarbourVest is currently seeking candidates for an Associate position in the Asia Direct Investment team based in Singapore. HarbourVest’s Direct Investment team co-invests in buyout transactions alongside established fund managers and participates in growth equity investments.
The ideal candidate is someone who:

- Has a deep interest in and desire to learn about private equity and related markets.
What you will do:
- Investment due diligence, including company and industry research.
- Financial analysis, modelling, and quantitative analysis.
- Developing investment recommendations and the supporting Investment Committee papers.
- Participating in team and Investment Committee discussions and voicing your opinion.
- Coordinating legal documentation and transaction closing.
- Monitoring existing portfolio companies.
- And other responsibilities as required.
What you bring:
- 2-6 years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or similar experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance and accounting concepts.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively operate in a team setting.
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 2 – 6 years of private equity, investment banking, consulting, or similar experience with exposure to corporate finance and financial modelling at the analyst or associate level.
