Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Allianz Engineering Inspection Services as an Electrical Engineer Surveyor. As part of Allianz, one of the world's leading insurance and risk management organisations, you'll join a nationwide network of over 700 engineering inspection professionals, helping customers operate safely, manage risk and meet their legal obligations.

As an Electrical Engineer Surveyor, you'll visit a wide range of customer sites, carrying out inspections of electrical installations and associated equipment across commercial and industrial environments. You'll also undertake statutory examinations of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems, helping customers maintain safe workplaces, manage risk and meet their legal obligations.
Using your technical expertise and practical experience, you'll assess electrical systems, identify potential safety concerns and provide clear, professional inspection reports and recommendations. You'll build trusted relationships with customers while supporting them in maintaining compliance and operational integrity.
You'll work independently across your allocated area, managing your own inspection schedule and workload, while being supported by an experienced team of Engineer Surveyors and Team Leaders. You'll also benefit from ongoing technical development and our industry-leading induction and training programme.
Salary Information
Pay: Starting from £45,539 per year + Company Car
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

- Committed to continuous professional development and expanding your technical knowledge and expertise.
- Interested in developing or enhancing your knowledge of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems and workplace compliance requirements.
Essential Skills
- Level 3 qualification (or higher) in an electrical engineering-related discipline.
- BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition) qualification.
- Practical experience in low-voltage electrical installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and fault finding.
- Experience gained within commercial, industrial or comparable electrical environments.
- Sound understanding of relevant electrical regulations, standards and safe systems of work.
- Awareness of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems and the key principles of COSHH regulations.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and digital reporting systems.

Desirable Skills
- Previous experience working as an Engineer Surveyor.
- C&G2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
- Experience carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems and associated inspection requirements.
- Experience producing technical reports and compliance documentation.
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or working towards professional registration.
- Experience working across a broad range of electrical installations and industrial environments.
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
