Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an accomplished and commercially driven senior distribution professional to lead and grow Schroders’ Private Wealth business in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of the private banking and wealth management ecosystem, a strong network across key distribution partners, and the credibility to engage senior stakeholders across private banks, family offices and intermediary platforms.
This is a senior client-facing role requiring strategic relationship management, disciplined sales execution and the ability to position Schroders’ public and private market capabilities effectively across a sophisticated client base. The role will suit an individual who is entrepreneurial, highly collaborative and motivated by building long-term, trusted partnerships that deliver sustainable commercial growth.
What you’ll do

Develop and execute a focused Private Wealth distribution strategy for Hong Kong, with clear priorities, account plans and measurable commercial objectives.

Deepen strategic relationships with private banks, fund selectors, investment advisers, discretionary portfolio managers, relationship managers and other senior decision-makers across the wealth channel.

Drive fund penetration, net new flows and revenue growth by identifying client needs and positioning Schroders’ investment capabilities in a clear, relevant and solutions-led manner.

Represent Schroders confidently in senior client meetings, product briefings, investment forums, roadshows, training sessions and partner-led events.

Partner with investment, product, marketing, client service, legal, compliance and operations teams to deliver high-quality client engagement and seamless execution.

Provide market intelligence, client feedback and distribution insights to inform product positioning, campaign development and future business opportunities.

Maintain disciplined pipeline management, accurate CRM records and robust follow-up practices to support effective governance and business planning.

Contribute to the broader Client Group strategy in Asia by supporting cross-border collaboration, sharing best practice and helping to build Schroders’ profile across the private wealth ecosystem.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

Minimum 10 years in asset management distribution, private banking, wealth management or a closely related financial services sales role, ideally with meaningful exposure to the Hong Kong private wealth market.

A strong track record of managing and growing institutional or intermediary relationships, with demonstrable success in delivering commercial outcomes and meeting sales objectives.

Established understanding of private bank distribution models, product approval processes, portfolio construction considerations and the needs of fund selectors, advisers and relationship managers.

Strong investment knowledge across public markets, with the ability to discuss equities, fixed income, multi-asset and alternative strategies credibly with sophisticated stakeholders.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly, persuasively and appropriately for different audiences.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the maturity, judgement and professionalism to engage senior internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Highly organised and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through consistently and operate with a strong sense of ownership.

A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across functions, geographies and business lines in a matrix environment.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that’ll help

Existing senior relationships across Hong Kong private banks, family offices, external asset managers or other wealth distribution partners.

Experience distributing a broad range of asset classes, including private markets, alternatives, thematic strategies or bespoke investment solutions.

Professional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA or other relevant investment, finance or business credentials.

Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools, together with strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and other client presentation tools.

Mandarin language proficiency would be helpful for engagement with Mandarin-speaking partners and stakeholders.

Experience contributing to regional sales strategy, product campaign planning or new business development initiatives across Asia.
