At Cuatrecasas, we are seeking a Senior Consultant capable of managing and improving the firm’s global financial applications, with a particular focus on SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition and the FICO, TR, and MM modules, as well as related satellite systems and integrations across the firm’s jurisdictions.
The consultant will be responsible for leading projects that directly affect this area and will participate in other projects, coordinating with the remaining modules and members of the department. This person must have a strong understanding of the business and their client area. With a solid financial and accounting background, this role actively participates in demand management and client relationship management, both by monitoring the portfolio of projects and initiatives and by ensuring client satisfaction and the quality of IT services in the respective area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a functional IT expert, ultimately responsible for the operation and configuration of the financial applications/modules (FICO and MM).
- Lead and oversee key projects in the area, providing technical and functional guidance to a small team of internal consultants and external collaborators.
- Ensure the creation, maintenance, and supervision of documentation for the area.
- Act as a trainer, primarily within the consultant’s area of expertise.
- May serve as an Account Manager/IT Business Partner, identifying client needs and managing the client’s IT project portfolio.
- Manage supplier relationships at a technical and operational level.
- Actively participate in the management and monitoring of external application management services for the FICO/MM area. Manage issue resolution, ensuring quality, stability, availability, and performance.
- Bring the necessary involvement and knowledge of the different accounting, tax, and management specificities of the countries in which the firm operates.
- Organize and carry out SAP FICO and MM configuration with support from internal/external teams.
- Monitor process quality and oversee SAP best practices.
- Ensure the proper functioning of processes across the different system modules and countries.
- Resolve change requests and new projects requested by the business.
- Stay up to date on the latest technologies.
- Understand processes and proactively recommend improvements to increase productivity and agility. Contribute to identifying use cases, digital transformation, and AI adoption within the company.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, or Business Administration.
- A strong financial background is required; an MBA or postgraduate degree in Administration and Finance is a plus.
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency.
- Prior experience as an ERP Project Manager or ERP Consultant for at least 6 years, preferably in SAP FICO, with proven experience in full implementation cycles, and at least 8 years of professional/IT experience.
- Experience in international rollouts and multi-currency environments is especially valued, particularly in Latin America (Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru), as well as experience with electronic billing systems, automated accounts receivable/payable registration and tracking, integration with local platforms, and regulatory compliance in different countries.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud, as well as other non-financial modules, especially MM/Procurement, where this person will have ultimate responsibility. The role also involves SD and BI/BW reporting, including current SAC/DataSphere solutions. Knowledge of ABAP and Fiori (SAPUI5), as well as other modules such as HR, CRM, and other BTP services such as Integration Suite/SCPI, is a plus.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP), as well as Agile methodologies, ITIL for incident management, and ITSM.
