As Senior Strategic Buyer – Local Coordinator, you will lead sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, and act as the primary link between local teams and global procurement functions. You will identify opportunities, negotiate value‑driven agreements, and ensure that procurement processes operate efficiently and in line with company standards. Your work will directly support business continuity, cost optimization, and long‑term supplier performance.
WHAT YOU DO Process & StandardEnsure that procurement standard is implemented, communicated and understood by AP employees
Ensure REF and P&R standards are implemented
Ensure Process Excellence according to Group Processes and standards
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet company objectives, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
Manage RFP and negotiations to secure pricing, delivery, quality, SLAs and compliance to AP standard and policies.
Global Category management
Share to Global Procurement relevant demand (>250k € gross), provision of spend data and cost savings
Align with Allianz Partners Global Procurement on applicable Local Sourcing Categories and implementation of Global Category Concept.
Supplier Relationship Management
Develop Allianz Partners (AZP) network of service providers covering indirect spend (e.g. professional services, marketing, communication, IT…) and global providers (rental car, international transportation, new mobility)
Determine, steer and control the performance of the suppliers in terms of quality and stability of deliveries.
Contract Management
Develop, review, and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and standards and Store all contracts above 250 KEUR, MSA and risk relevant contract according to TPRM standard in ARIBA S2C
Demand Management
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage provider panel, and optimize supply chain efficiency.
Risk Management
Support colleagues how to conduct Supplier due diligence especially reputational check and set up adequate Process control
Ensure that all risk assessment have been performed according to TPRM standard before starting negotiation
Work closely with internal departments such as Finance, Legal, Compliance, DPO, Communication, Operations to ensure compliance to company standard and policies
Manage and navigate Internal and External Audit findings
Reporting & Analytics
Regularly perform spent analysis and inform Allianz Partners Regional and Global Procurement about development of Procurement Key Performance Indicators, adherence to global category concepts, saving and development of local Procurement function.
Real Estate & Facility Management
Facility Access and security management; Local Facility and Maintenance services including Tracking and management of energy, water, waste consumption
Protection & Resilience Management
Implementation of the BCM annual exercise
Incident (Security and Emergency Response Management) and Crisis Management – coordination in terms of Incidents management and in case of a crisis
PSM (Protective Security Management) ensure PSM framework (personal security, event security and travel security)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Supply Chain, or a related field; a Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, ideally within a large international or multicountry environment.
Proven experience in project management with full delivery responsibility.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, either through direct team management or leading cross‑functional initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
Hands‑on experience with Ariba or similar procurement platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
Fluency in English and Greek is required.
