Your missions 

As a member of L’Oréal Research & Innovation, you will contribute to scientific projects at the intersection of data science, AI, experimental biology and physicochemistry. Depending on your project and background, your main responsibilities could include:

• Data science & signal processing: Generate and analyse surface-topography, tribological or vibrational data; identify correlations and contribute to predictive models using Python or another programming language.
• AI & process automation: Map and improve research or clinical data-management workflows; help automate data processing and reporting, test AI-enabled solutions, and support their adoption with cross-functional teams.
• Experimental biology: Contribute to cell culture and skin-model studies, including reconstructed 3D models where relevant; carry out biological analyses and interpret experimental results.
• Physicochemical characterisation: Formulate or prepare samples and develop or apply methods such as rheology, tribology, microscopy, surface-energy or particle characterisation.
• Data analysis & scientific interpretation: Structure and analyse experimental or computational data, explore relationships between measurements and performance, and interpret findings in light of scientific literature.
• Project collaboration & communication: Work with multidisciplinary teams

Your profile

• You are currently enrolled in a Master 1 or Master 2 program (engineering school, university, or business school) looking for a gap-year or final-year 6-month internship starting January 2027, with a strong specialization in:
• Data Science & Signal Processing: Data science, signal processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computational engineering.
• AI Automation: Digital/data, AI, process automation, or project management—ideally combined with chemistry or another scientific discipline.
• Experimental Biology: Molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology, or a related life-sciences field.
• Physicochemistry: Physicochemistry, formulation, materials science, chemistry, or surface and interface science.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical mindset and rigor in scientific or data-driven work.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, R, AI or data visualization tools is a plus depending on your area of interest.
• Genuine enthusiasm for scientific research and/or project coordination in an international R&D environment.

• Fluent in English; French is a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical mindset and rigor in scientific or data-driven work.

• Genuine enthusiasm for scientific research and/or project coordination in an international R&D environment.
