Key responsibilities

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and problem-solving are essential?We are looking for a Product Controller to support daily and monthly financial reporting, strengthen controls, and provide valuable insights into business performance.
• review and produce daily and monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• validate T0 versus T1 reporting and provide clear commentary on key profit and loss drivers and variances
• perform profit and loss and balance sheet control checks to ensure accurate reporting on a daily and month-end basis
• perform reconciliations, investigate breaks, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
• maintain a strong control environment by ensuring all processes, controls, and governance requirements are consistently followed
• partner with stakeholders across Finance and the business to support reporting, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement
The team
You’ll be joining the Global Banking Product Control team within Group Finance. The team is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining a robust control environment, and providing insights into business performance. Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider organisation, you’ll play an important role in supporting effective decision-making and ensuring the integrity of financial information.Your skills and experience
• at least 5 years of experience in Product Control within the financial services industry• university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably CA, MBA, or a related discipline
• strong understanding of double-entry accounting and its application to financial products
• solid knowledge of the accounting impact of transactions on profit and loss and the balance sheet
• proactive and change-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• collaborative team player with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams
• excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality results in a deadline-driven environment
