Purpose of the role

To develop, and evolve the banks technology architecture through relevant solutions, strategies and execution plans aligned to and prioritized by business and technology objectives, including the development, evolution and adoption of foundational platforms and products.

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with strong strategic technology leadership and a particular focus on AI and emerging technologies. This role will play a critical part in bridging business strategy with effective technical delivery, shaping and governing the enterprise‑wide technology architecture across our business units.

You will be responsible for defining and evolving technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment across systems and platforms, and establishing clear architectural principles and standards. A key aspect of the role will be to evaluate, guide, and govern the adoption of AI technologies, including data, analytics, and automation capabilities, ensuring they are applied responsibly, securely, and at scale.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide architectural governance across BUK, as well as technical guidance to Needs Labs, helping to translate innovation into production‑ready solutions. All solutions must align to BUK architecture standards and strategy, with a strong focus on scalability, security, compliance, ethical AI, and cost optimisation.
