About the Job

A Tribe Lead is responsible for providing attractive and sustainable products (applications & systems) that exceed customer needs throughout the entire lifecycle. The Tribe Lead develops the Tribe vision and the functional Tribe roadmap together with the Tribe Team and the Product Owners, steers and guides the Product Owners so that the Tribe goals are achieved, and is overall accountable — including for the financial aspects of the Tribe.

As Tribe Lead Customer & Distribution, you own the platform behind Allianz Suisse's sales, distribution and customer engagement across both Non-Life and Life — from lead generation and quote & buy to broker and partner integration, campaign management and customer service. You steer a Tribe of three Agile Squads (Avengers, Broking Bad, Smarties), with a product landscape that includes the sales platform (VPF), CRM and customer service tooling (PEGA, ICSP), the lead engine, broker gateways (IGB2B) and marketing/campaign systems (OneMarketing, Medallia).

Key principles of the role:

- The Tribe Lead is an agile function, not a role, and exercises purely functional leadership — there is no hierarchical or disciplinary responsibility over the employees in the Tribe.

- A Tribe Lead is responsible for up to approximately 10 Squads, depending on complexity.

- Tribe Leads come from Allianz Technology.

- The applications and systems in the area of responsibility are continuously reviewed from an economic perspective.

Tasks

• Steering and guiding the Product Owners so that the Tribe goals can be achieved.
• Promoting collaboration between the Tribes to leverage synergies and manage dependencies efficiently and effectively.
• Close coordination with the Technical Tribe Lead (TTL) to determine the prioritization of functional and technical topics. The Tribe Lead is accountable for ensuring that technical topics prioritized by the TTL are incorporated into Tribe planning.
• Actively participating in the regular Tribe syncs.
• Communication with the Chapter Leads regarding people and skill planning.
• Responsibilities of the ServiceNow/PPM Delivery Manager (can be delegated), ensuring that the required PPM tasks for the Tribe initiatives are created and kept up to date.

What you do

• Development of a clear Tribe vision and creation of the functional Tribe roadmap, taking into account customer needs (demands), in close coordination with the ASV Business Lead and the TTL (for technical roadmap alignment).
• Responsibility for the Tribe backlog, including the formulation/definition and prioritization of features based on strategic requirements (demands).
• Responsible for Maintenance (RUN) and further development (CHANGE) of applications & systems to ensure stability and enable sustainability as well as innovation (by order of the TTL and Service Owner).
• Accountable for the financial aspects of the Tribe (required budget — change and run — including infrastructure and licensing costs of their products), able to provide information on the implementation status of the initiatives (delivered / outstanding features) as well as on the budget situation (spent / remaining budget).
• Accountable for ensuring that all Tribe members book their time accurately against the correct scopes (specific responsibilities are delegated to the SM/PO).
• Ensuring quality and quantity of deliverables, taking into account KPIs, in shared responsibility with the TTL who owns technical quality standards.

• Solid understanding of the sales and customer-interaction value chain — distribution channels, CRM, lead management, broker integration and customer service — with the ability to translate business strategy into a compelling product roadmap.
