In this role you will be responsible for:
- Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator and will be responsible for all functions relating to the position Artisan (Fitter)
- The incumbent has the responsibility of maintenance and legal workorders to complete
- Duties include but not limited to planned maintenance, breakdowns and project work
- Maintaining and/ or repairing mechanical equipment
- Management of critical spares
- Ensuring implementation of management decisions, legal requirements, and the company
- Compliance with the company’s HSEC system
- Conveyor belt maintenance
- Pump station maintenance
About you:
- Grade 12 & N2
- Valid Section 13/ 26D Fitter Trade
- Completed POE (Portfolio of Evidence) for trade certificate
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Fitter in a mining underground environment, conveyor belts and chairlifts
- Candidate must be willing to work overtime & standby
- Medically fit to work underground
- Good knowledge and understanding of the Mine Health and Safety Act and relevant legislation
