At Cuatrecasas, we are looking for a lawyer with 3-4 years of experience to join our Litigation Funding team, preferably based in our Barcelona office. The successful candidate will work on high-profile matters and clients within a multidisciplinary transactional team.
Particular consideration will be given to candidates with experience in the transactional field, especially in finance law and restructuring matters, while knowledge of corporate law and litigation will also be highly valued
DUTIES
The successful candidate will become an active member of the team and collaborate on all types of advisory matters related to this practice area, including:
- Transactional advice on all types of litigation funding transactions (monetization of contingent claims, securing legal expense financing with or without recourse, etc.).
- Structuring and designing litigation funding solutions.
- Drafting and negotiating contracts and security arrangements.
- Participating in the due diligence review of claims and claims portfolios
Responsibilities will include, among others, managing and/or participating in matters in accordance with the strategy defined by partners and senior associates, including: Conducting in-depth legal analysis, maintaining client contact, representing clients when required, drafting reports and technical documentation and actively collaborating with more senior lawyers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Strong academic background.
- 3 to 4 years of experience as a lawyer in transactional advisory work.
- Excellent command of English.
- Dynamic, solution-oriented professional with a long-term vision and strong teamwork skills.
