We are currently accepting applications for bursary opportunities for students going into the first year of their studies as well as students already in university in the following disciplines:
- Mining Engineering
To be considered, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- A CV with Grade 12 Certificate and latest academic transcript from the University if you are already studying at a university.
- An average year mark of 60% or above for students who are already at University, doing their first or second year of study.
- Preference will be given to applicants residing in the local communities where Glencore Coal Operations South Africa are located
- Applicants already supported by another organisation/company will not be considered.
- Selection will be in line with the future talent and Employment Equity requirements of the Company.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo assessments and interviews as part of the selection process.
The Bursary covers the following:
- Tuition fees.
- Meals and accommodation.
- Prescribed textbooks.
- Payment of any compulsory excursions or seminars, which may be required.
- Travel Allowance (first and second semester)
- A Personal allowance.
