About the Role
As a Chapter Lead Engineer, you will lead and develop a team of 5 to 10 engineers while remaining actively involved in software delivery and technical decision-making.
You will partner closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leads, and global stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions, strengthen engineering capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers.
- Drive performance, career growth, and talent development within the chapter.
- Support hiring and build a strong engineering talent pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical technology solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
- Champion engineering excellence, DevOps practices, and automation.
- Promote Agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
- Balance people leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical involvement.
What We're Looking For
Leadership & Delivery
- At least 5 years of people leadership experience within software engineering teams.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale technology delivery.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Excellent communication and decision-making capabilities.
Technical Expertise
Required
- Strong backend development experience using Java (Java 11+).
- Experience building applications with Kotlin.
- Deep knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native environments.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation.
- Experience with Git, automated testing frameworks, and secure software development principles.
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
Preferred
- Banking or financial services experience.
- Experience with SQL databases, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Maven, and related engineering tools.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering and operational excellence practices.
