The Team
The Deloitte Workday team provides the full range of services for clients from the initial planning stages, through full system implementation to on-going support. The Deloitte Workday team are not purely system implementors as the service goes beyond to ensure our clients get the most benefit from their Workday solution. For the Workday team, this means not just fixing issues but providing advisory and guidance on ways to optimize and enhance the Workday experience.
Work you'll do
As a Senior Consultant supporting Core HCM on an Operate / Application Management Services (AMS) engagement, you will own the day-to-day service delivery, enhancement pipeline, and SLA performance for Core HCM within the live Workday tenant.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Support & Enhancements
- Provide L2/L3 support for Workday Core HCM.
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues.
- Configure enhancements for supervisory organizations, business processes, and staffing structures.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions.
2. Configuration & Maintenance
- Maintain supervisory organizations, business processes, job/position management, and organizational structures.
- Configure business processes, security, and reporting.
- Support Workday biannual releases and feature adoption.
3. Client & Stakeholder Support
- Collaborate with business users to understand enhancement requests.
- Provide functional guidance and best practice recommendations.
- Prepare documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
4. Testing & Collaboration
- Perform regression, SIT, and UAT testing for enhancements.
- Coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Integrations teams.
- Ensure timely delivery while meeting SLA commitments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5–8+ years of HRIS or Workday consulting experience
- 3–5+ years of hands-on Workday Core HCM support or implementation experience
- Experience supporting Workday in an AMS/Operate environment
- Strong understanding of organizational design, staffing models, and business process governance
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Should be willing to work in shifts
- Required to work from office (application for offshore development center (ODC) projects)
- Location – Pan India
Desired Skills
- Expertise in Workday Core HCM support, including supervisory organizations, business processes, staffing models, and organizational structures.
- Strong knowledge of Workday Reporting, Calculated Fields, EIB, security, and basic integration concepts.
- Experience in production support, issue resolution, enhancement delivery, release management, testing, and documentation.
- Strong consulting skills in stakeholder management, problem-solving, incident management, and client communication.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, analytical, and time management skills.
