Position Purpose:
The 3rd Party Data Licensing Administrator ensures that all market‑data licences from exchanges and regulated benchmarks (e.g. site /access fee licences, non-display licences…) are correctly subscribed, documented and billed in alignment with BNP Paribas policies and the contractual terms set by each exchange. The role sits within the Market Data Administration Competency Center (MDCC) and works closely with Central Market Data Exchange team, and the respective exchange liaison teams when necessary.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities -
· Exchange Licence lifecycle management – from request intake, subscription review, and approval routing to renewal, compliance monitoring, and termination.
· Financial stewardship – analyse licence invoices, validate fees against exchange contracts, and drive accurate cost allocation across cost centres.
· Inventory & data‑quality governance – responsible to make sure that the Market Data Management (MDM) system is updated with every exchange licence, its allocation key, expiry dates, and usage rights.
· Stakeholder coordination – act as the primary point of contact for internal central Exchange Market Data team, external exchanges, and regulated benchmark administrators for all licence‑related matters.
· Operational excellence – contribute to the overall performance of the MDCC India hub by meeting SLAs, producing regular KPI reports, and supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives.

3rd Party Licence Validation
• Be SPOC within the MDCC team for the 3rd Party Licensing topics
• Resolve queries raised by Market Data Admin team related to discrepancies on exchange invoices
• Flag discrepancies (rate changes, missing fees, duplicate invoices) and drive corrective actions with suppliers and Finance.
Licence Inventory Management
• Continuously making sure the MDM repository update with the latest licence lists, contract terms, termination dates, and usage limits.
• Maintain a global view of the global exchange‑licence cost for the BNP Paribas Group.
Request Management
• Receive, qualify, and route all internal licence requests (new non-display licences, renewals, terminations, site‑fee licences,).
• Verify that each request complies with Business Cost‑Approval procedures and is processed through the appropriate channel.
NDU reporting & Compliance Monitoring
• Track NDU licence reporting; initiate renewal processes 30‑60 days in advance.
• Verify that usage remains within the contractual scope (e.g., number of applications, geographic limits, data‑type restrictions).
Reporting & Communication
• Produce regular operational dashboards for the MDCC India Lead.
• Communicate status, escalations, and upcoming renewal actions to senior management and central exchange market data contacts.
Process Improvement
• Identify bottlenecks in the licensing workflow, propose automation or tooling upgrades, and support implementation of best‑practice procedures.
