- Role 1 – Digital Workplace Engineer (Modern Workplace (Microsoft Endpoint & M365)
- Role 2 – Digital Workplace Engineer (Workplace Operations (Windows Client & DEX)
What you'll be doing
Role 1 – Digital Workplace Engineer (Modern Workplace (Microsoft Endpoint & M365)- Design, own and evolve enterprise Digital Workplace architectures, with strong focus on endpoint and client management solutions.
- Define and govern software distribution strategies using Microsoft Intune and SCCM, including:
- Application packaging (Win32, MSI, MSIX)
- Application integration, certification and compatibility testing
- Deployment models (required, available, phased rollout, rings)
- Patch and application lifecycle management
- Lead the transition toward modern management models, including co-management and cloud-first strategies.
- Define end-user device and operating system strategies (Windows 10/11), including deployment, upgrade, and servicing models.
- Own and drive hardware certification processes, ensuring device compatibility, performance, and lifecycle alignment.
- Administer and optimize VDI platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance.
- Oversee Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Endpoint Security configurations.
- Actively collaborate with IT Security teams to design and implement endpoint security controls and compliance policies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers within the Digital Workplace team.
- Contribute to roadmap definition, technical standards, and documentation for Modern Workplace services.
- Support large-scale rollouts, transformations, and continuous service improvements in a complex enterprise environment.
- Ensure operational stability, performance, and reliability of the Windows client environment.
- Actively manage and resolve complex incidents and major issues, performing deep technical analysis and root cause investigations.
- Proactively identify operational risks, inefficiencies, and performance degradations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Act as senior operational reference for end user workplace services.
- Monitor and analyze Windows client performance metrics (startup times, responsiveness, stability, resource usage).
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks impacting Digital Employee Experience (DEX).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing user experience, reliability, and productivity.
- Correlate operational data, incidents, and performance indicators to drive long term improvements.
- Operate and evolve Windows client platforms at enterprise scale.
- Manage and optimize Microsoft Intune configurations for device management, compliance, and security.
- Maintain and improve Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and related configurations.
- Support hybrid and cloud integrated identity and endpoint scenarios.
- Manage and support user network storage services (NAS) for end user workspaces.
- Ensure availability, performance, and correct configuration of user file spaces.
- Troubleshoot storage related issues impacting users and applications.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to align storage operations with workplace requirements.
- Design and implement advanced PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce recurring incidents.
- Implement technical solutions and operational improvements across the Digital Workplace ecosystem.
- Contribute to standardization, operational best practices, and service optimization.
- Take ownership of incident resolution, including high severity and business critical situations.
- Demonstrate a strong proactive mindset in detecting, preventing, and mitigating issues before user impact.
- Operate effectively in high pressure and challenging environments.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive technical and operational documentation.
- Act as a technical mentor, sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.
What you'll need to succeed
Role 1 – Digital Workplace Engineer (Modern Workplace (Microsoft Endpoint & M365)- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, M365 Enterprise Administrator, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills – Digital Workplace & Endpoint Management
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM (ConfigMgr) in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in:
- Software packaging, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Co-management and cloud-native endpoint strategies
- Windows servicing, feature updates, and patch management
- Deep knowledge of Client PC strategies and enterprise OS management.
- Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, GPOs, and identity integration.
- Several years of experience in Digital Workplace / Windows Operations roles.
- Proven capability to act as senior technical reference.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments
- Advanced PowerShell scripting (automation, diagnostics, remediation).
