Your role
Are you ready to make an impact in Asset Management Japan?
We are looking for Trade Support Specialist to:
- Process transactions and release settlement instructions for ITM funds and mandate accounts across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, and onshore/offshore funds
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of trade data for NAV calculation, performance measurement, client reporting, and coordinate with trust banks and internal teams involved in NAV calculation.
- Perform daily operational tasks using core accounting systems such as T-Star/TX and FAIMS, and support the setup and launch of ITM funds and mandate accounts
- Support internal control requirements and audit-related activities and documentation, and adapt to new products and investment structures by applying established operational processes

Your team
You will join the Trade & Fund Support Team within Asset Management Japan, which is responsible for trade support and fund accounting operations for ITM funds and mandate accounts managed in Japan. The team supports the stable and efficient operation of the business by working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders:
- Work closely with internal teams in Japan, including Sales, Product, Investment, Reporting, and Compliance
- Collaborate with overseas operations teams involved in trade execution and post-trade processing
- Communicate with external parties such as trust banks, custodians, auditors, and service providers
- Partner with IT teams on system-related operational support and process improvement initiatives
Your expertise
Required qualifications:
- Around 3-5 years of experience in trade support or operations within a financial institution or service provider (or a strong interest in pursuing a career in financial operations)
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, including equities, bonds, FX, futures, and options
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English with the ability to read, write, and conduct basic communication and practical Excel skills for daily operational work (Bloomberg/Eikon experience is a plus)
- Strong operational expertise, ownership mindset, and a willingness to take on new challenges, with the ability to identify issues, drive improvements independently, and the ambition to develop into a future team lead.
- Basic knowledge of fund accounting or relevant hands‑on experience, combined with experience using investment operations systems such as T-Star/TX and/or FAIMS
Preferred qualifications
- Working experience in trade support within an asset management company or trust bank
- Experience using T-Star/TX and/or FAIMS, or interest in Excel automation, Excel VBA, or process improvement initiatives
- Experience in operational transformation, process automation, and efficiency improvement initiatives, including Excel VBA and system enhancement projects (AI experience is a plus)
- You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
