Your role
Do you enjoy working in dynamic teams? Are you excited by the opportunity to work on complex transactions for clients? Are you solutions orientated? We're looking for someone like that who can:
- help us execute M&A, equity raisings and debt raisings for some of Australia’s largest companies
- work closely with senior bankers to originate business, including developing pitch book presentations and financial modelling
- build and maintain client relationships to expand your networks
- develop your skill base including an understanding of business and financial products

Your team
You’ll be working in the Financial Institutions team in Sydney. We are a leading team in this sector and cover financial institution clients across Australia, working closely with the global UBS network. You’ll play an important role in advising clients on a range of market and strategic matters, including strategic advice, mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings. UBS is a widely regarded as the leading investment bank in the Australian market across both advisory and global markets.
Your expertise
- • 4 – 7 years’ experience gained from working in an M&A / investment banking role or similar.
- • strong project management – ability to run key marketing assignments and transaction workstreams with discipline and urgency
- • a track record of success - academically and professionally
- • excellent financial analysis and modelling skills and the ability to produce high quality presentation materials
- • able to communicate clearly and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- • Ownership mindset – proactive, resilient, accountable and solutions oriented
- • Strong team player with the ability to coach and develop junior bankers
- • looking to expand your skills set and relationships
- • genuine interest in a career in investment banking
- • able to work effectively under pressure
- • You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
