Research Analyst – Asia Equities at UBS, Singapore – drive AI-powered equity research & portfolio recommendations.
Support the Emerging Markets team with tech sector analysis, modelling, and recommendation across China & AI.
Your role
Can you provide comprehensive and concise investment recommendations in a clear and timely manner?
Do you take ownership and assume responsibility for tasks assigned?
If so, we are looking for a research analyst to:
- conduct fundamental analysis on the technology/internet sector in Asia ex Japan with a strong focus on China and AI applications
- build and use financial models to evaluate historical and current information with a view to generate forward looking insights into the companies
- provide recommendation to the portfolio construction committee to generation outperformance versus the prescribed research universe

Your team
You will be working in the Emerging Markets team and based in Singapore. The team is responsible for managing the Emerging Markets and Asia ex Japan strategies at UBS Asset Management
Your expertise
- research analyst with ideally 5+ years of experience
- bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in finance, engineering, computer science or related fields
- domain knowledge in technology and internet, ideally with recent coverage of AI application companies and related experience in China
- technical knowledge and experience with AI applications and coding would be an added advantage
- critical thinker, self-starter and ability to work under pressure arising from a outcome based job scope but with adherence to processes
- fluent in English and Mandarin to support the relevant stakeholders
- you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
