Job Summary
Job Summary Financial Markets eTrading (Foreign Exchange eTrading) has defined an exciting strategy and aggressive multi-year year product roadmap. The Financial Markets eTrading system developments team is a specialist team of individuals hired to design, develop, and enhance proprietary systems that will differentiate the bank in its core markets. eTrading systems are aimed at numerous customer markets including:- external customers via the internet, sophisticated customers via API/point-to-point connectivity, internal users trading on behalf of customers around the globe and finally connectivity into multi-dealer platforms. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part a large multi-asset eTrading trading system development team that is distributed between Bangalore, Singapore, Shanghai, and London
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Regulatory & Business Conduct • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. • Effectively and collaboratively identify, elevate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Other Responsibilities Role: Software Development Engineer in Test • Design and execute high-quality automation test cases based on accurate business requirements analysis. • Maintain a testing structure to facilitate future additions / amendments and ongoing execution. • Implement and maintain test automation scripts using Python / Cucumber/ Java and the banks defined framework, at story level and release regression level. • Demonstrate effective and accurate test scheduling skills in line with other project deliverables. • Troubleshoot QA environments, diagnosing and resolving issues prior to formal testing. • Perform root cause analysis of issues to assist in determining the source of problems. • Utilise ADO to effectively categorise and track issues raised during the testing cycle. • As necessary, undertake strategic test planning & develop a strategic testing approach for each new service in support of the Market Pricing, Connectivity & Analytics strategy, where assigned as part of individual test responsibilities. • Identify and analyse strategic testing opportunities and initiatives. • Participate in regular project review meetings and report status on testing tasks assigned as part of the daily status report • Build relationships with key stakeholders • Accept responsibility for testing of tactical and strategic business initiatives for Market Pricing, Connectivity & Analytics and coordination of the business plans, policies, and processes in support of those initiatives. Constantly analyse, enhance and seek to improve testing processes. Undertake static data analysis for all system components throughout all stages of test execution. Accept responsibility for producing functional and testing requirements for Market Pricing, Connectivity & Analytics systems to serve all parts of Markets and the wider SCB group where they wish to utilize Markets functionality.
Skills and Experience
• Python Programming • Cucumber/ Gherkin/ Java • FIX messaging • UNIX • SQL
Qualifications
• Strong technical knowledge in server-side test automation using Python Programming • Experience in performance testing • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Cucumber, Gherkin, Java • Holds good knowledge on FIX messaging protocol and analysis of the FIX messages • Experience on CI/CD is preferred • Demonstrate a strong general knowledge of banking business systems and understanding of FX flows from front to back-office systems. • Possess proven UNIX and SQL skills. • Have demonstrable experience of test automation for system testing, predominately in usage of, but ideally defining and implementing test automation frameworks.
