Team Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.

Within VCA exists Visa Implementation Services (VIS), a hands‑on execution partner, implementing, operating, and optimizing Visa products in client environments to accelerate activation, portfolio growth, risk control, and data‑driven performance. The VIS team is looking for an individual to join our Visa Implementation Solutions practice and lead the implementation services in the Mexican region. The potential candidate will be responsible for leading the sales, delivering and project implementations with issuers, merchants, acquirers, neobanks and fintech's. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.

Potential engagements could include portfolio management diagnostics, authorization optimization strategies, assessments of digital product and marketing programs, development of new products with implementation roadmaps, optimizing client customer servicing processes, among others.

Specific responsibilities include:

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications: 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

Ideally in quantitative field (e.g. engineering, economics, computer science, business administration, finance…).

5+ years’ experience working in the payments industry, preferably managing cards portfolios or relevant experience at payments management in consulting firms. certification preferred.

Strong command of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid) and tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira). PMP (Project Management Professional)

Familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms, and GenAI-enabled delivery workflows

Experience in managing and executing complex projects that requires coordination of other functional teams.

Executive presence including excellent communication and presentations skills, written and verbal, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations

Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities, particularly with those who are not direct reports as may be found in a matrixed organization

Knowledge of payment schemes, including products, processes, cards lifecycle management

Passionate, self‑motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
