Job Description

Visa Direct is a new payment service that allows clients (including issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants, remitters and service providers) to facilitate domestic and cross-border fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts in the U.S. and around the world using push payment technology, i.e., Original Credit Transaction (OCT), and traditional ACH/RTP payment rails to deposit into checking accounts and wallets. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person to person (P2P) transfer, cross border remittances, funds disbursement (business to consumer or small business payments) including priority use cases of marketplace payouts, royalty and digital content payouts and gig economy services, and more.

We're looking for a driven, hungry, and entrepreneurial professional who thrives in an agile environment, loves the challenge of building and converting a high-quality pipeline, and knows how to turn bold targets into real results. As a Sales Senior Director, you'll be responsible for translating Visa’s business objectives into actionable sales strategies that accelerate net new revenue, while delivering a highly tailored approach for our largest and most strategic technology partners. You'll lead the full sales cycle - from strategy to execution - building high-impact partnerships with our clients and internal cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Achieve or exceed North America Visa Direct sales goals in partnership with account executives by selling to Global Technology Platforms and Digital Ecosystem Partners

Develop sales strategy for target segment and continuously build a pipeline of strategic opportunities to support these clients and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and engagement.

Partner with Product, Commercialization, and Marketing to align launches, campaigns, and GTM needs

Represent the company with executive credibility at customer meetings, partner events, and industry conferences

Provide feedback to internal product teams on market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience

10 years of executive and consultative selling experiences with a Bachelor’s degree

Accomplished sales leader with a demonstrated ability to set overarching sales strategy

Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, and executive presence, must be able to collaborate with our most senior client executives

Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to a broad audiences in an approachable way to drive adoption

Demonstrated thought leadership and the ability to think creatively and to identify new ways to approach common problems

Passionate about what you do and excited about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader

Ability to inspire direct reports and influence those without direct management responsibility

Possess a high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliers

Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating across functional activities, obtain consensus and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately

Financial payment industry knowledge required, push payments or real-time payments experience a plus

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
