Lead Software Engineer – Reflex Platform Developer (Network Automation)
Role Summary
We are looking for a Lead Reflex Developer to build and evolve a strategic automation platform delivering intent-based, fully automated multi-cloud connectivity services across global network infrastructure.
The Reflex platform acts as the top-layer orchestration and abstraction system , enabling business users to request connectivity services via APIs and UI , while automatically translating requirements into network provisioning workflows involving DNS, IPAM, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud connectivity.
You will play a leading engineering role in designing and implementing scalable, cloud-native microservices that automate end-to-end lifecycle management of network services across AWS, Azure and on-premise environments.
About Reflex
Reflex is LSEG’s automation platform for private multicloud connectivity , reducing provisioning timelines from weeks to minutes .
Key characteristics:
Intent-driven API model (business-friendly abstraction)
Fully automated lifecycle: create / update / decommission
Integration across: Cloud providers (AWS, Azure) Network fabric (Sigma, Delivery Direct Network) ITSM (ServiceNow), orchestration systems, IPAM (InfoBlox)
Covers: Connectivity provisioning Capacity management Change management IP/DNS lifecycle Performance monitoring
Key Responsibilities
Platform Engineering
Design and develop microservices-based backend systems for Reflex
Build and maintain intent-based APIs and orchestration logic
Implement event-driven workflows for network service automation
Develop abstract service models (VPC connectivity, VLANs, routing, etc.)
Integration & Automation
Integrate northbound with: UI layer ServiceNow / business APIs
Integrate southbound with: Network services (DNS, IPAM, firewalls, LB) Cloud networking constructs
Deliver Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
Frontend & User Experience
Develop/refine UI applications (Vue.js / Quasar)
Enable self-service workflows for Cloud Ops users
Architecture & Design
Define high-level system design and architecture
Ensure scalability for global multi-tenant environments
Apply distributed system best practices
Leadership
Mentor junior engineers
Drive engineering standards and design patterns
Work closely with Product Owners and Architects
