Activities
- Analyze samples and report results in an accurate and timely manner to maximize quality production. Check that all test results are entered into the LIMS system in a timely fashion.
- Perform daily calibrations to ensure that instruments are functioning properly. Report any instrument problems to the LC job area Technician or Day Technician.
- Counsel LC job area Technician about any quality issues to minimize production of non-conforming product.
- When working the LC job area , perform communication duties with Operations, LPS, and staffing. Work within the Lab system to keep functionality moving. Compile HB’s for testing..
- Read checklist to determine testing needs/requirements. Complete ability to navigate through Lab system.
- Understanding of process testing, allocate tests results to appropriate production.
- Support Environmental sampling/testing on weekends and holidays.
*Loss control responsibilities include: Understanding, supporting and compliance with all plant policies, procedures and applicable regulations; conducting applicable Loss Control Challenge activities, including inspections and audits as assigned; completion of assigned Loss Control action items; and completion of regulatory and other required training.
Candidate Profile
- High school graduate or GED equivalency.
- Sixteen college hours of Chemistry, with a minimum grade of C, and 12 hours of math with a minimum grade of C. A maximum of six semester hours of biology or physics may be substituted for six hours of the chemistry requirement.
- Three to five years’ lab experience may be substituted for the college requirements.
- Experience with LIMS and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Legally authorized to work indefinitely in the United States.
- Submit to random drug screening/pre-employment negative screening.
