Work you’ll do
We are looking for a high-performing, client-facing professional to join our Chinese Services Group (CSG) in Singapore. This role is focused on driving business development (BD), account growth, and leading market engagement initiatives targeting Chinese enterprises expanding into Singapore and Southeast Asia (SEA).
The successful candidate will play a front-facing role in building client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning Deloitte’s services in the market. Working closely with CSG leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help convert market opportunities into tangible revenue growth.
This is a high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about client engagement, market expansion, and commercial outcomes.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Business development & client acquisition
- Identify, originate, and pursue business opportunities with Chinese enterprises expanding into Singapore and SEA, particularly in priority sectors
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, with clear ownership of conversion and revenue outcomes
- Develop and maintain senior client relationships and stakeholders’ management
- Lead/contribute to proposal development, pitch presentations, and commercial negotiations
Account Growth & Revenue Growth
- Drive account growth for priority clients through proactive relationship management and opportunity identification
- Collaborate with BU teams to develop integrated solutions aligned with client needs
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and lead coordination across internal teams
- Track and manage revenue performance against targets and contribute to account planning strategies
Market Development & Branding Building
- Lead and execute market activation initiatives, including events, roundtables & forums, strengthening the firm’s brand and network in the Chinese business community
- Develop and deliver client-facing insights (e.g., policy updates, investment trends, market intelligence) to support business conversations
- Drive post-event engagement and follow-ups to convert leads into pipeline opportunities
Requirements
- Master or degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related fields
- 5–8 years of Business Development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in a professional services environment
- Demonstrate ability to originate opportunities and contribute to revenue growth
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written), given frequent interaction with Chinese clients
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate client needs into business opportunities
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable operating in a client-facing, target-driven environment
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across functions while maintaining ownership of outcomes
