Job Description:
The ideal candidate is a senior technology professional with strong ownership, execution discipline, regulatory awareness, risk mindset, and the ability to influence across business, technology, vendor, and control partners. They should be comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, with the ability to maintain stable services, deliver regulatory commitments, execute transformation initiatives, and strengthen the long-term technology posture of the Thailand franchise.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the operational health, stability, resilience, governance, and compliance of critical applications supporting Thailand operations.
- Lead incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, service improvement, and permanent remediation activities.
- Deliver medium-sized technology initiatives including regulatory deliverables, infrastructure migrations, data center exit activities, platform upgrades, modernization, technology refresh, operational resiliency, and business continuity initiatives.
- Support project planning, governance, budget oversight, stakeholder communication, risk and issue management, executive reporting, and production implementation.
- Serve as a technology representative for Thailand regulatory engagement, including support for regulatory reviews, audits, examinations, circulars, notices, directives, supervisory requirements, and remediation programs.
- Develop and maintain technology roadmaps aligned to business priorities, regulatory expectations, modernization, simplification, automation, operational efficiency, and risk reduction objectives.
- Manage vendor relationships, product upgrades, support escalations, security remediation, lifecycle management, and vendor governance activities.
- Build trusted relationships with Thailand regulators, industry participants, local operations, product teams, technology risk, compliance, audit, information security, application governance, and regional technology leadership.
- Lead through influence across multiple teams including product management, operations, finance, compliance, technology risk, information security, infrastructure, network, database, middleware, server, cloud, and platform services.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience supporting mission-critical applications in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong experience in application management, production services, application support, or application control functions.
- Proven ability to deliver technology initiatives from initiation through implementation.
- Demonstrated experience managing regulatory, infrastructure, migration, or transformation programs.
- Strong working knowledge of technology governance, controls, risk management, compliance frameworks, vendor management, and technology roadmap execution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Ability to lead discussions with Thailand regulators and industry participants in Thai, interpret Thai-language regulatory communications, and present effectively to local and regional leadership audiences.
Language Requirements
Native or business-fluent Thai, written and spoken. Advanced professional English, written and spoken.
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting payments, clearing, settlement, treasury, commercial banking, transaction banking, or financial market infrastructure applications.
- Prior engagement with Thailand regulatory bodies or industry utilities.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams across Southeast Asia.
- Knowledge of operational resilience, cyber security controls, technology lifecycle management, and multinational banking technology environments.
