About BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking in Mexico
BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking has had a representation office in Mexico since 1966. Since then, BNP Paribas has played an important role in financing Mexico’s development into the 21st century. BNP Paribas was one of the founders of Banco Nacional de Mexico (Banamex), one of Mexico’s largest banks, at the end of the 19th century, and stayed as a minority shareholder until the nationalization of the banking system in 1982. BNP was first established in Mexico more than half a century ago also acting as an important shareholder in Banco del Atlántico until 1982
BNP Paribas Mexico is expanding and has started operating in 2021 a full-fledged Mexican bank to better serve its clients through local operations performing local and global markets activities. Operations out of BNP Paribas Mexico include trading and market making activities on interest rate derivatives, forex (spot and forward), bonds, repos and reverse repos on MBonos, UDI and Bonos. The coverage activities focusing on Mexican corporate and institutional clients will remain and expand.

- Fully contribute to daily production tasks:
- Handle confirmation and chasing process for FX, Credit and Equity trades in electronic platforms
- Chase for executed paper confirmations across all business classes managed by the team
- Act as the point of contact for various internal teams and external counterparties ensuring a timely and efficient resolution of business-related queries
- Support team reporting, statistics and risk indicators and ensure timely reporting
- Actively contribute to development and update of the internal procedures
- Put in work your analytical skillset by driving continuous improvement initiatives and participate in variety of transversal projects for Global Markets platform
- Show a great ability to connect with other employees in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Be able to take on challenging position and well adapt to evolving business landscape
Statistics and Metrics follow-up
- Daily control and analysis of the production: unmatched / non-executed trades, chasing, drafting.
- Release weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to management
- Review the existing indicators on a regular basis and suggest new ones when required.
IT developments follow up
- Escalate as soon as possible the potential technical issues that could put the production at risk, impacting productivity, operational risk or client satisfaction.
- Take part in the team’s projects
Competences and Experience
TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Graduate or + 2 experience years in Finance, Business or related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Team player with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to details and organizational skills
- Understanding of derivative products FX/CDS/IRD/Equity and bonds
- Solid EXCEL skills, coding experience is a plus
- Fluency in English.
