• Establish the Centre of Excellence for APAC across all products.• Manage trade capture and life cycling of structured products, including Rates Derivatives, vanilla Rates, and Structured Rates products.
• Develop expertise in query remediation, trade life-cycling, and daily processing, ensuring timely escalation to minimize risk exposure.
• Support new business enablement and solutions by partnering to deliver strategic FM initiatives:
• Drive operational readiness.
• Oversee local management of:
• Hubs: Promote global alignment and consistency, providing Follow the Sun support.
• Local Market: Standardize processes where applicable and tailor controls accordingly.
• Evaluate vendor costs and services throughout the lifecycle.
• Represent operations in external, internal, and regulatory audits:
• Ensure audit findings are addressed within established timelines.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation:
• Collaborate with Technology to drive transformation.
• Partner with Front Office to identify booking model enhancements and increase efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to Operations Risk Framework standards for implementation and process management.
Skills and Experience
- At least 5 to 7 years of experience in trade booking and validation for rates products.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments, including FX, FX Options, Interest Rate Swaps, Money Market, and Structured Rates Derivatives.
- Experience with electronic execution platforms such as Markit wire, RTNS, Bloomberg, ICE Link, and Trade Web.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Effective communicator capable of adapting style to engage both Front Office and offshore teams.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Quick learner with innovative problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups; basic VBA knowledge is an advantage.
