PURPOSE
Allianz Retire+ is fast becoming one of Australia's leading retirement income solutions providers, and we have an opportunity to join the team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Manager – Finance Intelligence and Analytics will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and operational excellence across the Finance, Actuarial, and Investment functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of management information to AA Life, the Board, and Group Centres.
The role leverages advanced data analytics to explain key financial movements, streamlines underlying processes to improve data quality, and drives the automation of reporting and reconciliation processes using tools such as Alteryx — while applying AI-led coding and other AI-enabled solutions to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and insight. The role also develops and optimises Power BI reporting, builds and uplifts planning and budgeting tools, and generates actionable KPIs to support strategic decision-making. By delivering detailed financial analysis and insights, the Senior Manager will work closely with the CFO to strengthen planning, budgeting, and cost control processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
This role involves driving outcomes through close collaboration with the wider Finance function, key business stakeholders across the company, and select colleagues across Australia.

REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Finance, Actuarial Studies, and/or Accounting (e.g. CA/CPA qualified, Fellow of the Actuaries Institute, or similar).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting processes and financial reporting within a complex, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
- Strong skills in process automation tools such as Alteryx.
- Experience with AI for analytics and coding using Python.
- Strong technical competency in insurance, with an understanding of statutory accounting for life insurance, including IFRS 17. Knowledge of related actuarial specialties (e.g. pensions/retirement, risk, investments and modelling, asset-liability management) is a plus.
- Sound understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements in the insurance industry.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to complete tasks thoroughly and accurately, and to quickly identify errors and inconsistencies in information.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret a range of data and identify patterns, trends, and links that inform sound judgment and solutions.
- Strong track record of delivery, reliability, and integrity.

- Experience in stakeholder management within a diverse environment, with the ability to influence without authority and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This role is an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contrat and is with Allianz Retire+.
