Senior Client Engagement Manager, Asia

We are looking for a Senior Client Engagement Manager, Asia, based in Singapore.
Job Purpose/Role:
Responsible for driving the client-centric strategy, overseeing retention and acquisition activities while governing the overall client service experience
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Client Engagement, Retention and Growth Strategies
Lead the Client Management and Client Development functions to achieve client acquisition, retention, and revenue growth objectives.
Drive the client segmentation strategy and periodic portfolio reviews to ensure effective allocation of relationship management resources and tailored engagement approaches.
Champion and deliver the Allianz Commercial value proposition across key client relationships, ensuring a consistent and differentiated client experience.
Oversee the development and implementation of client-centric solutions that align with industry needs, business priorities, and risk management objectives.
Build and maintain trusted executive-level relationships with regional, multinational, and local clients, acting as a strategic partner and advocate for their evolving business needs.
Collaborate closely with underwriting and product teams to identify opportunities for deeper client engagement, cross-selling, and long-term partnership growth.
Key Account Management
Implement the Client Protocol (Key Account Management) for Top and Key Accounts in Asia.
Proactively build long term relationships with key clients and broking partners in Asia, and develop and maintain a current and comprehensive client and industry segment insight.
Focus on long-term client retention through the creation of strategic and tactical account plans
Drive Multinational growth through Key Accounts, developing new opportunities.
Own the client-specific tactical planning function to ensure all LOBs are aligned with client service requirements
Coordinate reporting and QBRs for large corporate clients
Ensure client solutions are matched appropriately to industry requirements
Maintain high-visibility
Act as KAM for named clients in S.E. Asia and be a prospect converter for selected target accounts.
Cultivate and maintain key relationships within each client within portfolio
Key Experience / Requirements / Skills:
Required Experience
At least 7-10 years of experience in industrial or specialty insurance industry in front-line business development.
Well recognized long-term relationship building with brokers at peer group level and well established within local market.
Demonstrable successful track record in driving organizational change / business transformation.
Significant experience of working internationally and of remotely managing and developing regional teams across numerous locations within a complex matrix organization.
Required Education
Degree preferred, in e.g., Economics, Business Administration, Law.
Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII).
Technical Skills
Strategic Market Management: ability to define segmentation and client differentiation strategies; ability to define clear value proposition.
Extensive multinational experience, shaping and delivering bespoke services.
Business insight: ability to implement tools and methodologies to develop market, competitor, and client insight.
Insurance and Sales Distribution: knowledge of commercial insurance. Ability to utilise experience to implement best practice in channel management.
Portfolio management: ability to articulate businesses on the AZ Commercial multi-line offering and benefits.
Channel management: knowledge of various channels of sales (e.g. broker, tied agent, direct).
- Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
General Skills
Communication & Presentation: ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story.
Influencing skills: ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority.
Analytical Skills: ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire.
Negotiation and conflict management: ability to negotiate best position for AZ Commercial, and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties.
Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
Languages
English
Second language according to Country. Local language will be a plus.
