We are looking for a Senior Underwriting Integrity Manager (m/f/d) to join our team in Munich, Germany.
Your Team
You will join the Underwriting Integrity & Solutions team at Allianz Commercial — a focused and collaborative team that helps shape clear, effective underwriting governance across all Lines of Business. The team works closely with colleagues from Underwriting, Operations, Reinsurance, Claims and Allianz Group functions to support strong decision-making, practical governance and continuous improvement.
This is a role with strong visibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You will help strengthen the frameworks that guide how Allianz Commercial underwrites business globally, while working with senior stakeholders and colleagues across different functions and countries. The Impact You Will Have
As Senior Underwriting Integrity Manager, you will support global underwriting governance activities and strategic projects at Allianz Commercial. Working with all Lines of Business and key functions, you will help ensure that governance processes are clear, practical and effective. Your work will contribute to underwriting integrity, compliance and strategic governance, with exposure to senior management and global stakeholders.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Support strong and practical governance processes across your area of responsibility, in close collaboration with Operating Entities, Lines of Business and other stakeholders within Allianz Commercial.
- Help improve governance processes and support adherence to key frameworks, including authority frameworks and business reviews.
- Lead and manage global underwriting-related governance and strategy projects across multiple Lines of Business, helping to deliver outcomes aligned with Allianz Commercial’s strategic direction.
- Contribute to clear and reliable processes for underwriting-related compliance topics, working closely with relevant functions such as sanctions and reinsurance.
- Prepare and present project outcomes and governance updates to senior management, translating complex topics into clear and practical messages.
- You will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Reinsurance, Claims, and Allianz Group centres to advance strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across the organisation.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and improve governance frameworks, bringing a forward-thinking and pragmatic approach to continuous improvement.
- Support the broader Underwriting Integrity & Solutions team in maintaining an effective governance framework that enables consistent and responsible underwriting decisions globally.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- We would like to hear from you if you bring around 3 to 5 years of experience in underwriting, governance, or a related function within commercial insurance or reinsurance.
- You have a good understanding of underwriting governance, authority frameworks and compliance processes, ideally within a global insurance environment.
- You have experience managing or contributing to cross-functional projects in a complex, international environment.
- You are familiar with commercial insurance Lines of Business and understand the operational and regulatory environment in which global insurers operate.
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex governance topics and develop clear, practical recommendations.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, and are comfortable presenting governance topics, project outcomes and recommendations to different stakeholder groups, including senior management.
- You bring a structured and practical way of working, with the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- You are curious about how data, automation and AI-driven insights can support better decisions and more efficient ways of working. Experience with related tools is an advantage, but we also welcome candidates who are eager to keep learning in this area.
- You are fluent in English. German or another language would be a plus
