Your tasks

• Implementing new requirements and further developing the product;
• Participating in design and architectural discussions and analyses;
• Ensuring that the developed components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain (conducting quality control, taking the ownership of the product);
• Where needed, helping the coordination of team activities in an agile team environment;
• A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and delivering a quality product;
• Being a mentor for young talents, supporting and guiding them in the project and their skill development;
• Working in an agile team setup and participating in alignment meetings.

Your Profile

• Strong experience in Java development, including OOP, debugging, testing, performance optimization, and writing maintainable, scalable code. Strong experience with Java frameworks, preferably Spring / Spring Boot;
• Practical experience developing and maintaining React applications, including component-based design, state management, UI integration, debugging, and maintainable frontend architecture;
• Strong experience designing, implementing, documenting, securing, and integrating RESTful APIs, including validation, error handling, performance considerations, and maintainability;
• Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and troubleshooting complex data-related issues;
• Strong practical experience with Git and standard branching, merging, and code review workflows;
• Strong ability for creating, maintaining, and improving automated tests and applying appropriate testing approaches for backend and frontend development;
• Good understanding of CI/CD and practical experience with building pipelines, deployments, automation, and troubleshooting delivery-related issues;
• Good awareness and practical application of secure development practices, dependency hygiene, access control, and common application security risks;
• Experience working in agile teams, participating in agile ceremonies and iterative delivery;
• University degree in IT or relevant.

The CHAMP CI/CD cluster is responsible for the development and provision of services in Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration and Agile Quality Assurance. We provide automated deployment environments, customized delivery pipelines, test automation tools and expertise, as well as onboarding services to other projects within Commerzbank.

We are looking for an experienced Fullstack developer (Java + React) with a strong background in object-oriented programming and agile software development. Proven track record, experienced in designing and optimizing systems in enterprise environments, with a focus on robustness, maintainability and clear architecture. Looking to contribute to the re write and further development of the company wide test accounts solution, ensuring a scalable, maintainable, and well governed platform that supports quality assurance across Commerzbank.
