HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD
Reporting to the Supervisor - Training Programs, you will ensure that French language instruction in the workplace is offered at the Raglan Mine site to Inuit employees whose mother tongue is Inuktitut and whose common language is English. Your main duties will be :
- Revise and develop French-second-language training material adapted to the needs of Inuit employees, according to their position and department.
- Provide training in French as a second language to help Inuit employees integrate into the workplace.
- Develop and adapt tools and strategies to assess and train Inuit employees in order to facilitate the progression of their skill levels, as well as identify the integration requirement of the Inuit employee and determine learning strategies and content accordingly.
- Measure skill levels and learning progression in order to adjust training plans, strategies and materials accordingly.
- Offer training in essential skills other than French as a second language.
- Tutoring of Inuit employees.
PROFILE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in teaching French as a second language or another degree deemed relevant, combined with three (3) years of experience teaching French as a second language to adults.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Bilingualism in French and English is essential.
