Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support the bank's decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports, compelling visualisations and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), data insights and trends across various business units.   

Accountabilities

• Design and development of comprehensive reports and dashboards utilisng best practices in data visualisation principles and design aesthetics to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.

• Design, development and implementation of automated report generation processes and visualisation methodologies for improved efficiency and timeliness. 

• Identification and analysis of business requirements to define report content and format.

• Maintenance and updating of existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including co-ordination of reporting template releases and related administrative tasks.

• Development of robust processes & controls for collating input data, performing exploratory data analysis & data cleansing and seeking signoffs as required. 

• Engagement with stakeholders as needed to ensure up to date data is incorporated into reporting and visualisations.

Join us as a "Data Solutions Analyst" at Barclays, where you'll build analytical tools to generate insight, recognise patterns and predict behaviour, and deliver content direct to users of information products. You will work with technical teams, architects, designers, and administrators to overcome technical challenges and to make it happen. You will need to take ownership of key initiatives to deliver results through an agile workflow. Will have to design, test and build complex forecast models and simulations to identify causal links between customer behaviour and business opportunities and performance.

To be successful as a " Data Solutions Analyst", you should have experience with:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Experienced in designing, developing, and maintaining impactful BI solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven business decisions and measurable outcomes.
• Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and data preparation techniques, with hands-on experience developing scalable reporting solutions using Tableau and Power BI. Familiarity with data platforms such as AWS, Teradata, Snowflake is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gather business requirements, translate them into effective dashboard solutions, and clearly communicate insights to senior stakeholders and business users.
• Demonstrated experience leading BI initiatives, mentoring junior developers and analysts, and promoting best practices in dashboard design, data governance, visualization standards, and self-service analytics.
• Strong attention to detail with a disciplined approach to data validation, reconciliation, quality assurance, and performance optimization to ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
   

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep expertise in Tableau and Power BI, including advanced calculations, parameters, data modeling, DAX, dashboard performance optimization, row-level security, and interactive visualization techniques.
• Experience using ETL tools (Tableau Prep, Alteryx, etc.) to automate reporting processes, streamline data preparation, and support analytics and visualization workflows.
• Experience managing BI and analytics projects across cross-functional teams, effectively delivering solutions within a matrixed organizational structure.
• Strong understanding of digital banking, transaction data, and payment journeys, with the ability to leverage analytics and visualization to identify trends, operational inefficiencies, customer behaviors, and business opportunities.
• Experience working closely with product, operations, UX, and business stakeholders to embed data visualization, KPI tracking, and analytics into decision-making and continuous improvement processes.
   

This role will be based out of Gurugram.
