What is the opportunity?

The Vancouver Royal Centre RBC Dominion Securities branch is seeking a self-directed, highly adaptable knowledge specialist to join one of the top-performing teams in downtown Vancouver. You’ll work directly with an experienced wealth management team who delivers exceptional client service which deepens client relationships and drives business growth. You’ll be a trusted team member to our clients and their families - someone who understands complexity, thrives in a respectful and collaborative environment, and proactively takes ownership of client outcomes.

The team prioritizes simplicity, transparency, and collaboration, valuing diverse perspectives and supporting your personal development. You'll gain real growth potential learning from industry experts in a complex wealth management environment with opportunities to lead based on your expertise.

Working with ~65-70 households, you'll build meaningful client relationships solving real-life problems for business owners and executives. The team also emphasizes giving back to the community through volunteer opportunities and charitable initiatives.

What will you do?

Client Impact

• You’ll be a primary point of contact for our clients, delivering proactive advice and support that deepens existing relationships and welcomes new clients
• Facilitate and coordinate client meetings and events - from agenda-setting and documentation preparation to post-meeting follow-up and execution
• Resolve client account inquiries with urgency and ownership; manage follow-ups to completion

Relationship & Business Growth

• Identify opportunities for asset consolidation, referrals, and new client acquisition across the business
• Nurture and manage valuable relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) - accountants, lawyers, and other RBC partners

Operational Excellence

• Coordinate with internal Wealth Management specialists to support clients throughout the financial planning and estate planning processes
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Salesforce, Excel, and other proprietary business applications

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 3+ years of experience in the investment/wealth management industry in an advisory or client-facing role
• Registered Representative (RR) approval with IIROC or equivalent registration
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - you communicate clearly over the phone, in writing, and in client meetings
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, shift priorities mid-stream, and thrive in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Nice-to-have

• 4 years or more of professional experience within the investment industry
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Highly developed client service skills

The expected pay range for the above position is $38,000 - 60,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.

This position includes competitive-based pay, and the overall earning potential is impacted by a variable incentive structure, earning a multiple of salary up to:

1.5x
