Posting title: ‘Analytics Solution Officer’- based in Luxembourg. This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment. We also offer relocation support. The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Information Systems Directorate (GIS), Data & Corporate Solutions Department (DCS), Data Management Division (DM), Analytics & Reporting Unit (AR), at its headquarters in Luxembourg, an Analytics Solution Officer*.
This is a full-time position at grade 5 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

Purpose
The Analytics Solution Officer leads the governance, administration and strategic evolution of the EIB Group’s Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platforms. The role is accountable for establishing enterprise standards, operating models and platform capabilities that ensure a secure, scalable and high-performing analytics ecosystem, enabling consistent reporting, trusted data products and governed self-service analytics across the EIB Group.
Operating Network
The role sits within the Analytics and Reporting Unit, which acts as the EIB Group’s centre of excellence for analytics platforms and reporting technologies. The Unit is responsible for the governance, administration, evolution and adoption of the Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platforms, establishing enterprise-wide standards, operating models and platform capabilities that support trusted reporting, data products and governed self-service analytics across the Group.
The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, data and technology teams, enterprise architects and senior management to drive the continuous development and operational excellence of the EIB Group analytics ecosystem. The role reports directly to the Head of Unit.
Accountabilities
Lead the governance, administration and continuous evolution of the EIB Group’s Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platforms, ensuring security, scalability, resilience and operational excellence.
Define, implement and maintain enterprise governance frameworks, standards and operating models covering Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, semantic models, workspaces, security and self-service analytics.
Administer and optimise tenant-level settings, capacities, platform configurations and access controls to ensure effective and secure platform operations across the EIB Group.
Manage and optimise Power BI and Microsoft Fabric capacities, monitoring utilisation, workload consumption, performance and platform health to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery.
Lead performance investigations and optimisation initiatives across reports, semantic models, capacities and Fabric workloads, ensuring consistent user experience and platform reliability.
Drive the adoption and strategic evolution of Microsoft Fabric, defining governance models, operating principles and best practices for enterprise-scale implementation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, enterprise architects, security functions and senior management to align platform capabilities with organisational priorities and business needs.
Maintain awareness of emerging capabilities and developments within the Microsoft analytics ecosystem, assessing their relevance and advising stakeholders on adoption opportunities and implications.
Ensure appropriate governance, risk management, compliance, operational procedures and documentation for platform administration and service operations.
Support operational resilience through proactive monitoring, incident management, change coordination and service continuity activities across the analytics platform landscape.
Qualifications
University degree (minimum equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree) in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Science, Economics/Finance or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in enterprise analytics, business intelligence or data platform environments, including substantial hands-on responsibility for platform administration, governance and operational management.
Proven hands-on experience administering enterprise-scale Power BI environments, including tenant administration, workspace governance, security configuration, capacity management, monitoring, troubleshooting and operational support.
Strong practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or related Microsoft analytics technologies, including the implementation, administration or governance of analytics platforms in production environments.
Demonstrated experience defining and implementing governance frameworks, operating models and best practices for enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
Strong technical knowledge of Power BI architecture, including semantic models, deployment pipelines, storage modes (Import, DirectQuery, Live Connection and Direct Lake), performance optimisation and platform scalability.
Proven experience monitoring, diagnosing and resolving platform performance, capacity and operational issues within complex analytics environments.
Experience managing business-critical analytics platforms supporting multiple business domains and large user communities.
Experience in coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling and modern analytics platform architectures.
Experience with analytics and reporting platforms such as Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects or SAP Analytics Cloud would be considered an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international organization.
Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (***) with a good command of the other. (Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage).
