Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

• Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

You will play an important role in ensuring processes are completed accurately and efficiently, while delivering a high level of service to stakeholders and customers across the organisation.

The role involves working closely with a range of internal stakeholders to provide specialist support, manage operational processes, and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring activities are completed to a high standard, supporting risk and control requirements, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working in a fast-paced environment, and taking ownership of operational processes.

To be successful as an Operations Analyst you should have:

• Experience supporting operational processes within a financial services or corporate environment.

• Strong stakeholder and customer service skills, with the ability to provide specialist advice and support.

• Experience performing prescribed operational activities accurately, within agreed timelines and service standards.

• The ability to take ownership of specific processes within a team and ensure delivery to a consistently high standard.

• Knowledge and experience of Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, including customer due diligence and regulatory requirements.

Some other highly valued skills/experience include:

• Identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to enhance operational processes and efficiencies.

• Developing and implementing operational procedures and controls to mitigate risk and maintain operational effectiveness.

• Producing reports and presentations on operational performance and communicating findings to senior stakeholders.

• Experience working within a strong risk and control environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

This role will be based in Northampton.
