Job Description
The Participant Monitoring Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the oversight of Visa's Payment Arrangement Participants' adherence to the requirements of Resolution 522, which amends Resolution 150 from the Central Bank of Brazil. This role will leverage internal monitoring platforms and tools to assess participant risk profiles and monitor compliance with technical, operational, and regulatory requirements, supporting Visa Brazil's commitment to risk management and regulatory compliance.
The Participant Monitoring Coordinator will execute monitoring activities under the Resolution 522 Monitoring Plan, perform participant assessments and risk scoring, track remediation actions and waivers, identify and escalate relevant risks and compliance issues, and contribute to governance reporting and monitoring evidence management. The role will work closely with Risk, Compliance, Regulatory, Client Services, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure effective participant oversight and timely risk mitigation. This position will report to Visa's Senior Risk Manager for Participant Monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Participants' compliance with Res. 150/522 and related Visa regulations, using internal platforms (e.g., Risk Radar, VERC, Monday, etc.).
- Conduct periodic and ad hoc reviews of Participant activities, including monitoring activities, reporting, and risk assessments.
- Support the execution of the Resolution 522 Monitoring Plan, including participant validation, notification tracking, waiver tracking, and follow-up activities.
- Review and analyze information from internal systems, participant reporting, CERC, Núclea, market intelligence sources, and other relevant databases.
- Identify and escalate non-compliance, emerging risks, operational concerns, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain monitoring reports, supporting documentation, and governance materials.
- Engage with internal stakeholders (Risk, GA, Compliance, Legal, Sales, CSR, and Operational Risk) to support monitoring activities and resolve compliance issues.
- Monitor remediation efforts and support Participants in addressing identified issues and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain monitoring evidence and documentation to support auditability and regulatory governance.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 3 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or with a PhD
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, participant oversight, payments, banking, or financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian payments regulation, especially Res. 522 and Res. 150 (BCB).
- Proven expertise in operational risk, fraud prevention, AML, and monitoring platforms.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced in English.
