Position Purpose
This role is part of the Japan Cash Management/Transaction Banking organization. The incumbent will be responsible for driving, managing and delivery the JP Cash Management Product management with end-to-end implementation accountability. Strategy and Roadmap to facilitate Cash Management Revenue Growth and Ambitions. The candidate will be the in-country owner for Cash Management product portfolio, shaping the local product proposition, partnering with Sales and ensuring clients with complex solution scope are onboarded efficiently on Cash Management Solutions. The candidate will work closely with the Regional Cash Management Product and Implementation organization to support, deliver goals and activities of the Regional Cash Management organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the in-country product management including formulating the product strategy to support on Cash Management growth ambitions.
- Localise the regional and global product proposition to Japan market, including alignment with local clearing systems, regulatory requirements and market practice.
- Own and lead product management including product business case and business requirements formulation.
- Track product performances metrics covering revenue, volumes, client adoption and others.
- Partner with Sales and Coverage Teams on client RFPs, pitches and complex mandates.
- Maintain and adhere to product governance and methodology.
- Work closely with regional product owners and partner with local stakeholders for timely delivery and implementation of product capabilities.
- Perform new product assessment as per Bank’s policies and governance.
- Managing Implementations; Lead end to end implementation of Cash Management solution for assigned client names and segment.
- Own the implementation plan, project management for complex multi solutions and cross border mandates.
- Adopt APAC project methodology & process to align to best practice and control requirements.
- Ensure all project documents and client executed documentations are well managed maintained/retained.
- Achieve high customer satisfaction ratings to be evidenced via client surveys.
- Manage project timeline to deliver against client expectations and meet bank’s objectives.
- Work to achieve faster time to revenue cycle for Projects undertaken for implementation.
- Work closely with Product and Sales to lead client conversations on efficiency initiatives and drive delivery against migration targets.
Work Based Competencies Required
- Good Knowledge of Cash Management products and services.
- Understanding of ERP functionality.
- Integration of electronic banking systems will be added advantage.
- Project management awareness.
- Compliance with Risk & Control Requirements Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework.
- Responsible for the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan.
- Responsible for ensuring team members comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Responsible for reporting all incidents according to the Incident Management System.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Specific Qualifications
- More than 10 years banking experience with a minimum of 5 years in Cash Management with a major bank active in Cash Management activities.
- Good in English both speaking and writing.
- Certification in IT /Financial Technology / SAP if any would be an advantage.
- Project management experience/ certification would be an advantage.
