Job Summary

This role is to manage Finance Operation Function including Stamp Duty Process, assist on Account Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Asset (FA) and compliance to local government requirements for Standard Chartered Global Business Services Sdn. Bhd.

• Stamp Duty
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Fixed Asset (FA)
• Accounts Payable (AP) 
• Regulatory Compliance requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Support business on stamp duty and Finance members during peak periods, leave coverage, urgent deliverables, or business continuity situations.


Main processes include but not limited to:
Stamp Duty:
• Monitor Intragroup Agreements and External vendor contracts to ensure contracts are submitted for stamping process within the given time frame.
• Ensure supporting documents are provided on timely manner to avoid penalty of late stamping.
• Assurance of stamp duty certificate received from 3rd party vendor and handed over to business.
• Handle 3rd party vendor invoice with due diligence for cost centre reclassification purpose.


Accounts Receivables:
• Work closely with Assistant Finance Manager to ensure collection within the timeline and aging not exceeded 180 days.


Fixed Assets:
• Support Country Finance to perform assets verifications annually.


Accounts Payables:
• Extend guidance on vendor payment and employee expense claims process
• Assist in Vendor Reconciliation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholder (GCFO) and external stakeholder i.e. vendor to ensure compliant of local regulatory requirement i.e. Value Added Tax, Sales and Services Tax, Withholding Tax & etc.
• Support and work along with country finance to manage Group Delegation Authority Limits (GDAM) for e-Procurement and system request.


Others:
• Support in month end closing, perform journal posting for payment and bank reconciliation.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement through control, process, and system improvement projects. 
• Audit request
• Active participation in any Group / GBS Hubs projects or initiative. 

Risk Management
• Assist the Manager and the Unit Operation Risk Manager in identifying and managing key risk areas; ensure compliance and improve internal controls and financial processes for the Company. This includes building management and operational control awareness within Country Finance team and ensure applicable policies and procedures are documented and embedded in operating manuals and instructions 


Governance
• Support compliance initiatives relevant to the function.

Qualifications

Key Experiences: At least 2 years’ experience of working in Multinational Corporation
Certifications / Qualifications: Degree in Accountancy & Finance 
Languages: Fluent in English & Malay

 

Relevant Finance Analyst experience, including:

• Financial & Regulatory compliance.
• Results and outcome focused
• Clearly conveys information and ideas.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge in financial system eg: MS Office, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft an added advantage.
• Continuous Improvement (CI) within the function.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience as Finance Analyst role within Finance functions with exposure to Finance Operations
• Experience in MNCs an added advantage.
