Model Risk Governance Specialist (f/m/d)

Join Axpo in Warsaw and help strengthen model governance standards across our energy business. You will work with international teams, support transparent risk processes, and contribute to reliable, data-driven decision-making.
What you will do:
Maintain and continuously improve the central model inventory and governance processes
Prepare, prioritise, and coordinate model validation schedules with stakeholders and the Model Validation Team
Own and update the Model Validation Policy to ensure consistent standards across model development and usage
Create management reports and dashboards on validation status, findings, remediation progress, and key risks
Collaborate closely with Model Validation Team, Risk Management, and Model Owners on model governance topics
What you bring & who you are:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Model Validation, including model governance, frameworks, and policies
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Power BI, and SQL; experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Python, or Dataiku is a plus
Experience in risk management, quantitative analysis, financial markets, financial instruments, governance, or Front Office support functions
Knowledge of the energy sector, commodities markets, or financial institutions is highly valued
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work confidently with complex datasets and a keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary environments and a proactive approach to continuous improvements
Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
