Job Title: Data Architect & Analyst, LDB - DDX

WHO WE ARE:

L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) is a global dermocosmetics division bridging beauty and health. Partnering with dermatologists worldwide, we offer trusted solutions ranging from skin pathologies to aesthetic care through innovative brands like La Roche-Posay and SkinCeuticals, while championing global access to skin health. 
 

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

• This role is a hybrid data expert responsible for systematically structuring and designing Full-Funnel data (spanning Upper & Lower Funnels) scattered across E-commerce, internal systems, and external agencies, while driving business growth through advanced data analytics and actionable insights.
• We are looking for someone to lead the entire data ecosystem—from planning data marts aligned with business objectives and managing build projects with external specialized agencies, to conducting customer behavior analysis, CRM, and formulating marketing/sales strategies using the built data. 

(※ Please note: This position is not a pure software engineering role dedicated to infrastructure hardcoding. It is focused on data structure planning/design, agency project management, and business analytics.)

1. Data Architecture Planning, Design & Project Leadership

• Define data transformation logics and plan data mart structures for marketing, sales, and CRM analytics.
• Design full-funnel data structures connecting Upper-Funnel (acquisition/ads) to Lower-Funnel (purchase/conversion/customer) data.
• Deliver technical specifications, manage project timelines, and inspect builds to ensure internal/external development teams accurately implement pipelines and environments according to the plan.
• Design optimal data structures and manage analytics environment setups based on a solid understanding of L'Oréal’s internal data platforms and tech stacks.
• Collaborate closely with North Asia and Korea Data Analytics teams.
• Define data quality (DQ) management standards and baseline specifications for core metric reports across the organization/team.

2. Business Data Analytics & Insights Generation

• Conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis of customer, CRM, and marketing performance data by integrating fragmented datasets.
• Analyze full-funnel campaign performance bridging Upper-Funnel (media/ads) and Lower-Funnel (purchase/conversion), and derive optimization plans for marketing efficiency (e.g., ROAS, CAC) by channel and franchise.
• Propose strategic business and marketing action plans through customer lifecycle, LTV, retention, and customer segmentation analysis.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor brand/product franchise growth and analyze purchase conversion and cross-selling trends by category.
• Lead hands-on support and collaboration to empower business units (marketing, sales, etc.) with self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making.
• Oversea data privacy and compliance

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate across all digital functions (media, CRM, advocacy, influencer marketing, content, e-commerce, etc.) from both organizations to ensure seamless data integration.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members from different departments and organizations.
• Resolve conflicts and ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Years of experience: 8+ years of experience in data planning, data architecture design, and business analytics preferred. 
• Experiences:

Data Structuring & Design Competencies:

• Ability to understand the structure of diverse source data (RDB, logs, external APIs, etc.) and plan/design data models tailored to business objectives.
• Hands-on proficiency in validating data structures and writing transformation logic using SQL, BigQuery, Python (or R), Google Cloud Platform, and Power BI.
• Deep understanding of the data ecosystem flow from Upper-Funnel (marketing/ads) to Lower-Funnel (conversion/customer).

Project Leadership & Communication:

• Proven experience in leading projects by clearly communicating data requirements (technical specs) to developers or external agencies.
• Experience analyzing digital domains such as CRM, E-commerce, and media.
• Strong ability to translate business needs (marketing/sales) into data structures and communicate analytical results clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Other Skills: 

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of digital technologies used in media, CRM, advocacy, influencer marketing, content, and e-commerce.
• Possess a solid understanding of data management, analysis, and data integration
• Experience in CRM data analysis, customer segmentation, targeting, and performance analytics.
• Experience in planning and introducing enterprise dashboard architecture using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
• Strong understanding of E-commerce and digital marketing data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Experience with change management and organizational integration is highly desirable.
• Language: Fluent in both Korean and English
