About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect within the Risk, Finance and Audit Technology portfolio. The principal architect will focus on the Treasury and Liquidity technology architecture and bring broader architecture leadership to the technology of Risk Management, Corporate Finance and Internal Audit.

This role is responsible for defining and executing the architecture strategy for one of the firm's most critical and highly regulated business domains, ensuring technology investments support business growth, regulatory commitments, operational resilience, and long-term modernization objectives.  As the senior architecture authority for the portfolio, you will drive the evolution of Treasury and Liquidity capabilities across applications, data, integrations, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies. You will partner closely with business executives, product owners, engineering leaders, risk partners, and enterprise architecture teams to develop target-state architectures and deliver transformational technology solutions that enable scalability, agility, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a rare combination of deep business domain expertise, enterprise architecture leadership, and hands-on technical mastery. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable engaging with senior executives on strategic direction, leading architecture governance and technology roadmaps, and working directly with engineering teams to solve complex design and implementation challenges.

You will lead large-scale modernization initiatives, drive simplification and rationalization of complex technology ecosystems, establish enterprise data and integration patterns, and advance the firm's adoption of cloud-native architectures, AI-enabled capabilities, intelligent automation, and next-generation engineering practices. You will play a critical role in shaping the future-state architecture for Treasury and Liquidity while helping establish reusable patterns and standards that can be leveraged across the broader Risk and Finance technology landscape.
