We are seeking a seasoned Principal Product Manager (individual contributor) to lead RBC's AI-powered conversational banking experience. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the roadmap and delivery of applied AI solutions that make everyday banking more personalized, proactive, and conversational, spanning everyday financial insights, personalized offers, and holistic financial planning. You will be the voice of RBC clients, and work with business partners, research and engineering teams to discover, pilot and scale the AI solutions to transform how clients experience banking at RBC, and drive transformational outcomes.
Your responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop product vision, positioning, value proposition that supports AI understanding, business prioritization, and adoption of solutions;
Identify market opportunities and define the multi-year product roadmap, focusing on innovative solutions that leverage AI to solve client facing problems;
Define and track product KPIs, set ambitious objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
Product Development:
Conduct user research and testing to understand user needs and pain points, using insights to inform product development;
Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of high-quality AI products;
Work closely with AI researchers, data scientists, and engineers to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly products;
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Borealis and RBC, fostering collaboration and alignment towards a shared vision;
Influence and inspire cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, legal, and compliance, to ensure seamless product execution;
Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress effectively to senior leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and buy-in.
Develop product marketing material and communicate product enhancements and success across user base and stakeholders.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship:
Foster a culture of innovation within the product team, encouraging creative thinking and the exploration of new ideas;
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to integrate AI advancements into your strategy;
Champion a test-and-learn approach, promoting experimentation and the use of data to drive decision-making.
You're our ideal candidate if you:
10+ years of experience in a top-tier technology company or large enterprise, with a focus on AI or machine learning products;
In-depth hands-on experience of a managing a product throughout its entire lifecycle within a large, matrixed enterprise
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving alignment;
Exception communication, presentation, interpersonal skills;
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions;
Entrepreneurial mindset to find opportunities to grow product with a passion for innovation and a proactive approach to problem-solving;
Strong background in AI/ML products, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts, discussing architectural trade-offs and new opportunities directly with technical team members;
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s or MBA is a plus;

In addition to helping scale the biggest AI opportunities at RBC, the AI Group is responsible for advancing research into emerging use cases across generative and agentic AI, while maintaining expertise in security, responsible AI and regulatory expectations.
