As Head of Global Product & Delivery Planning, this leader will shape Vanguard’s long-term product and delivery plan, strengthen the capacity and health of the product ecosystem, and build the planning and capacity management capabilities needed to deliver against enterprise priorities. The role serves as a senior strategic partner across Portfolio Review Department, Investment Management Group, Shared Services Partners, and business leadership, aligning product ambition with execution reality and helping position Vanguard to innovate in ways that best serve evolving client needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead a team of product planning and strategy leaders, hiring, evaluating, coaching, and developing talent while elevating strategic capability, investment acumen, and organizational impact.
- Own and refresh Vanguard’s long-term product and delivery plan, including a multi-year view of product priorities grounded in client needs, strategic value, market evolution, and enterprise capacity.
- Develop and implement a more quantitative and repeatable approach to assessing product value, including factors such as expected revenue uplift, contribution to investment outcomes, competitive relevance, innovation alignment, and client demand.
- Lead the planning and improvement of Vanguard’s product ecosystem by identifying bottlenecks, dependencies, and structural constraints across shared services partners, including technology, operations, legal, implementation, and trading.
- Build and drive a capacity management model that aligns shared services capabilities and resources to real-time and long-term product priorities, including scenario planning for increased development volume and complexity.
- Partner with shared services leaders to define, prioritize, and execute process and capacity improvements that increase throughput, reduce friction, and improve delivery health across the ecosystem.
- Serve as a senior thought partner to PRD and enterprise leaders on future product development, prioritization tradeoffs, implementation readiness, and the long-term health of the product ecosystem.
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry, market, competitive, and company trends, and translate those insights into planning priorities and innovation opportunities.
- Lead special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Ten years of experience in financial strategy consulting, product development, product management, product planning, or a related field
- Five years of supervisory experience
- Strong strategic, analytical, and cross-functional leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to lead through complexity and influence without relying solely on formal authority
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders, investment partners, and shared services stakeholders across a large, matrixed organization
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required
- MBA preferred
