Position Summary
Level: Senior Consultant or equivalent
Agentic AI Platform Engineer (SDE 3) - Python, FastAPI, Go/Java, Agent Orchestration, Prompt Engineering
You'll own a domain of our agentic AI platform end to end - architecture, roadmap, and the standards other engineers build against — and act as the senior technical voice for that domain across a multi-team delivery organization. This is a hands-on senior role: you'll still ship code, while also directing the engineers building within your domain. Agentic AI is a genuinely unsettled field - defining the right pattern is as much the job as building it.
Work you’ll do:
- Define and evolve architecture, roadmap, and engineering standards for a domain of the platform
- Direct and review the work of other engineers building within your domain; mentor engineers on agentic-system design and evaluation practices
- Act as connective technical tissue across delivery, security, and platform teams - build influence through design reviews, written guidance, and reference implementations
- Build automated evaluation pipelines - LLM-as-judge workflows, regression evals, guardrail testing — and diagnose agent failure modes across prompting, tool selection, retrieval, latency, and cost
- Integrate internal APIs and data sources for safe autonomous action, within the security and data-governance constraints of regulated/federal delivery environments
- Build TokenOps/cost-governance capability — model routing, tiering, semantic caching, per-invocation cost attribution.
The Team:
The team builds first-party delivery platforms and agentic tooling that let engagement teams deliver faster and more reliably. It brings together platform, backend, and AI engineering to move toward an agentic SDLC — where agent capabilities are built as products and adopted across the portfolio.
Qualifications
BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years of production Python and a compiled language (Go or Java) for infrastructure-grade services
- Demonstrated ownership of a technical domain or platform component end to end, including directing or mentoring other engineers building within it
- Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Claude SDK) and tool-use/integration patterns such as Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Experience building automated evaluation and guardrail systems for LLM/ML systems in production
- Experience with AWS Bedrock managed services (Bedrock Agents, Action Groups, Knowledge Bases, Guardrails) or equivalent cloud AI services
- Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector, or OpenSearch), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and secure API design
- Track record of solving problems with no established playbook and turning the result into a pattern others can reuse
- Strong written and verbal communication - you'll be the technical reference point other teams design against
