Purpose
 

The Business Teams Talent Acquisition Manager, UK is responsible for managing and delivering the firm's UK hiring across all business teams functions and levels, working in close partnership with the Global Head of Lateral Talent Acquisition to ensure the firm attracts and secures exceptional business teams talent in a competitive UK market.

The role takes ownership of the end-to-end UK business teams recruitment process – spanning functions including Finance, Technology & Data, Risk, Business Development, HR and Operations – and acts as a trusted adviser to senior business stakeholders and functional heads on hiring matters. The role works in close partnership with HR Managers, Centres of Excellence and business leaders to ensure that business teams hiring activity is commercially informed, inclusive and aligned with the firm's global people strategy.

The role will be responsible for developing and leading a high performing UK BT TA team to deliver the above.

Your key responsibilities:

UK Business Teams Recruitment

• Accountable for the delivery of the firm's UK business teams hiring across all functions and levels, ensuring alignment with the firm's broader workforce plans and strategic growth priorities and key performance metrics
• Ensure the execution of end-to-end UK recruitment process for business teams hires — from briefing and market mapping through to offer, negotiation and pre-boarding — ensuring a consistently excellent experience for candidates and hiring stakeholders.
• Monitor resourcing levels, workload and service demand across business teams functions to help anticipate gaps and support proactive staffing and organisational design decisions.
• Ensure the development and management of a strong pipeline of business teams talent through multiple channels (proactive sourcing, direct approaches and market mapping) reducing reliance on external search firms where appropriate.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of lateral hiring data from across business teams functions, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of inputs and leverage data and insight to drive continuous improvement, innovation and performance management
• Responsible for leading and developing a group of high performing TA Advisors required to deliver the hiring volumes. 

Search Firm and Supplier Management

• Manage relationships with retained search firms, contingency agencies and other external talent sourcing partners operating across business teams disciplines in the UK, ensuring robust governance, performance management and value for money.
• Maintain and develop the firm's preferred supplier relationships for UK business teams lateral hiring, conducting regular performance reviews and making recommendations to the Global Head of Lateral Talent Acquisition as appropriate.
• Negotiate terms of business with external suppliers in line with firm policy and budgetary parameters.

Stakeholder Partnership and Advisory

• Track progress against people plans and relevant aspects of the business plans, reporting regularly and adjusting plans where needed.
• Be the key point of contact to global BT function Chiefs and Leaders providing insight and transparency to hiring across their functions
• Contribute to firmwide HR and TA projects
• Liaise with HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence to ensure alignment between UK business teams lateral hiring activity and broader people initiatives, including workforce planning, succession and inclusion.
• Support the preparation of materials, presentations and briefing documents for senior stakeholder meetings and talent reviews.
• Feed lateral hiring insights into UK and global succession planning and talent reviews to support the identification of critical roles and capability gaps.

Process and Governance

• Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures, and contribute to the refinement of policies impacting lateral business teams talent acquisition in the UK.
• Assist in developing and documenting lateral hiring methodologies, processes and best practice guidance for use across the People function.
• Gather feedback from relevant stakeholders to improve HR processes, tools and support.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality and data governance standards in the handling of all candidate data and related documentation.

Your experience

• Prior experience in leading a high performing in-house talent acquisition team, preferably across global corporate functions and within a professional services, financial services or similarly complex environment.
• Proven track record of developing and embedding end-to-end recruitment processes across a range of business teams functions, including sourcing, search firm management and offer negotiation.
• Experience of leading projects or programmes across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• A sound understanding of the UK business teams talent market across relevant professional disciplines, with an established network of contacts desirable.
• Exposure to HR information systems and applicant tracking platforms (e.g. Workday, Greenhouse or equivalent) is desirable.
