Global Banking and Markets
Global Banking and Markets (GBM) conducts the Bank’s wholesale banking and capital markets business with corporate, government and institutional investor clients. GBM is a full-service wholesale bank and investment dealer in Canada and Mexico and offers a range of products and services in the U.S., Latin America and in select markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

 

More specifically, GBM provides clients with: corporate lending; transaction banking (including payments, trade finance and cash management); investment banking (including corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions); fixed income and equity underwriting, sales, trading and research; prime services (prime brokerage and stock lending); foreign exchange sales and trading; commodity derivatives; and collateral management.


Overview:
The Infrastructure & Project Finance (“IPF”) team is part of Scotiabank’s Corporate and Investment Banking (“CIB”) Division.  IPF works closely with a wide range of industry coverage and product partners to originate, structure, and execute structured, acquisition, and project financings. IPF provides sector expertise, strategic advisory, and tailored financial solutions to our clients across developed and emerging markets.  IPF’s primary focus is providing and arranging debt financing (e.g. greenfield and brownfield projects, corporate, acquisition) and debt advisory services for strategic owners and financial sponsors in the infrastructure space, including ports, airports, toll roads, public infrastructure, renewable energy, conventional power, transmission, digital infrastructure, and energy infrastructure across the Americas.
 
Position Highlights:
Associate Directors in Infrastructure & Project Finance enjoy a stimulating and challenging work environment in which they execute a broad range of transactions across various forms and sources of debt capital.  Associate Directors work on assignments ranging from origination to execution with various industry and product teams at the firm including: Power, Energy, Real Estate, Telecom, Technology, Debt Capital Markets, Global Loan Syndications, Derivative Products Group, Global Risk Management, Sustainable Finance in the United States and Canada and local banking teams in Latin America and the Caribbean.  In this role, Associate Directors will gain knowledge and understanding of bank lending, institutional debt capital markets, and derivative markets and gain exposure to global clients that are utilizing Scotiabank’s advisory and financing expertise

Work Arrangement:

This position is an onsite role, with the expectation that you will work 5 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
