Work you’ll do
As a Senior Consultant, you will be part of Deloitte's Audit and Assurance business group, specifically within the Securitization team. You will work with diverse teams of professionals to provide services in Securitization domain supporting various asset classes including Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) and Asset Backed Securities (ABS), to perform reviews on asset due diligence, collateral analysis and cashflow analytics. You will collaborate with professionals with varied backgrounds and diverse experience in transaction modeling, pricing, valuation, and recalculations of various payments involved and relevant portfolio tests
- Recalculate expected asset and security cash flows, tranche payments, and investor analytics (e.g., declining balance tables, weighted average lives, pre-tax yield to maturity) using proprietary tools and Excel for various product types and economic scenarios.
- Analyze results, identify discrepancies, and ensure compliance with transaction offering documents.
- Perform thorough reviews and abstraction of critical information from offering and legal documents (e.g., Indentures, Offering Circulars, Private Placement Memorandum, Credit Agreements, Private Rating Letters, Rate Reset Notices etc.).
- Conduct due diligence on underlying assets involved in the transaction (CMBS, RMBS & ABS).
- Recompute and analyze statistical attributes, stratification tables, and pool percentages using asset-level portfolio data and collateral analysis systems.
- Develop, maintain, and roll forward securitization models; assist with Agreed Upon Procedures Report issuance and project deliverables.
- Perform a thorough review of the various offering documents related to a transaction
- Collaborate closely and communicate regularly with US engagement teams, including drafting review summaries and client correspondence.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional interactions.
- Develop subject matter expertise in specific asset types and stay informed on current market trends.

Qualifications - MBA finance background
Required
- MBA finance background and/or 4 to 6 years’ experience in financial services with exposure to US or EMEA structured products industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access), VBA and industry system platforms such as Bloomberg and INTEX.
- Good understanding with cashflows generated by various assets viz. Fixed Rate Mortgages, Adjustable-Rate Mortgages, Credit Card, Student Loans, Auto Loans etc.
- Well versed in interpretation of legal documents such as offering memorandums, offering circulars, indentures and private placement memorandums.
- Prior Big 4 Accounting Firm or relevant working experience in the following industries is an advantage:
- Mortgage and asset-backed securities
- Investment or Mortgage Banking
- Fixed income investments
- Rating Agency
- Mortgage Servicer
- Collateral Management or Administrator
- Exposure to team handling aspects like performance management, recruitment support, deliverable management and identifying improvements in proprietary tools or processes.
- Should be a go-getter and have strong organizational, communication skills, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
