Job purpose:
This is an entry level position, and you will be responsible for manual and automated testing to identify issues/bugs during pre and post application(s) release. You will be responsible for the quality engineering and testing of implementations that meet the needs and expectations of the business groups. Our applications are used by Deloitte’s Global Employer Services member firms and clients, so the successful candidate should have strong client service and communication skills, as well as the ability to deliver quality results on time in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment. The candidate will receive training on existing as well as next generation tools.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with QA leadership to understand the required test scenarios
- Creates / enhances test automation frameworks and related automated test cases.
- Creates testing scenarios, and related detailed test cases based on user stories and underlying acceptance criteria
- Responsible for Functional / Regression / Retesting / UI / API and other types of testing across multiple applications
- Detects, logs, tracks, and reports application defects and assists in troubleshooting and retesting these defects
- Documents and evaluates test results, report results to leadership
- Creates automated testing solutions using tools such as agentic AI and Playwright
- Maintains the test suites through continuous process
- Performs application management activities (Admin Activities, Data Validation & Data Setup)
- Utilizes applications such as MS Excel, MS Power Point to generate metrics and develop actionable recommendations
Education/Background:
Bachelor’s Degree educated or equivalent in Computer Science or related field Key skills desired
Must Have:
- Minimum 3 years of QA testing experience, 4 years preferred
- Complete knowledge of SDLC, with an emphasis on Scaled Agile (SAFe)
- At least 2 years of experience with automated testing tools with at least 1 year of experience with Playwright
- Intermediate knowledge of Python scripting
- Experience in test management tools, preferably Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Experience working on business-facing applications
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity the Scaled Agile SDLC framework
- Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment where projects, and deadlines often require multi-tasking and flexible work schedules
- Ability to integrate rapidly with existing team
Good to have:
- Quality Assurance certifications such as ISTQB are a plus
- Experience in developing automated testing solutions with agentic AI technologies such as Kiro or Claude
- Experience with performance and/or security testing
- Automation scripting using TOSCA
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality
- Passion for technology and client service
- An ability to build professional relationships, a spirit of co-operation, and a flexible approach to work are required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; outstanding analytical, technical research and presentation skills
